  • Interfere with the site's operation or security

3. No Consumer Reporting Service

Bakersfield Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 and following. Neither this reference nor a result from a linked search tool is a consumer report, and neither may be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose governed by the FCRA.

4. External Services and Links

County portals, state systems, libraries, archives, and third-party sponsored search tools operate under their own terms and privacy practices. Bakersfield Residents Directory does not control their content, availability, prices, or data handling.

5. No Warranties

The reference is supplied "as is" and "as available" without warranties. No promise is made that a detail is accurate, complete, or current, or that an outside portal will be available or produce a correct result.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of the reference or an outside resource, including a decision based on a record reached through it.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorney fees, that results from misuse of the reference or a breach of these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. A link to a page and a brief attributed quotation are welcome; republishing a full page or copying the material systematically is not.

9. Changes to These Terms

An updated version may be posted here at any time. Continuing to use the reference after a change signifies acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Access Restrictions

Access may be blocked or limited for a user who violates these terms or abuses the service, at the operators' discretion and without prior notice.
